6/10/2025 Longley is proud to share a heart-warming example of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities where we work. Following the successful completion of toilet refurbishments at Parkhill Junior School and Gearies Primary School in North East London, our team noticed that both schools were preparing for their annual Harvest celebrations — a time traditionally dedicated to sharing food and supporting those in need.

Wanting to contribute to their efforts, we decided to boost the schools’ Harvest collections with a donation of £200 worth of non-perishable food and drink. The goods, which included cereal, long-life milk, tinned soups, pasta, rice, lentils, tea, coffee, and juice, were delivered personally by our team members Steve Little and Chris Lotto. The donations will be passed on to the local Trussell Trust Food Bank to help support families and individuals experiencing hardship in the area.

At Longley Group, we aim to deliver more than just high-quality construction and refurbishment projects. After each project, we strive to carry out a social value initiative that benefits the local community. Whether it’s donating time, materials, or resources, we believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

During our visit, we were also inspired by one of the schools’ “sharing sheds” — a thoughtful initiative where families can leave or take essential items as needed. It’s a simple yet powerful way to teach children about empathy, generosity, and the importance of community support from a young age.

We’re delighted to have played a small part in supporting both schools and their communities, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to make a positive social impact wherever our projects take us.
