03/12/2025 Longley Begins Construction on New Sevenoaks Town FC Pavilion Following Groundbreaking Ceremony
Longley is pleased to announce significant progress on the new Sevenoaks Town FC pavilion, a major community-focused development that recently made local headlines in the Sevenoaks Chronicle. The project marks an important step in enhancing facilities for players, supporters, and the wider community, strengthening the club’s role as a key hub for sport in Sevenoaks.
Last month, representatives from Longley joined club officials and local stakeholders for an official groundbreaking ceremony, marking the start of this highly anticipated build. The event celebrated the collaborative effort behind the project and the shared commitment to delivering a modern, inclusive space for local football and community activity.
Work on site has moved forward at pace. Piling operations are now complete, and the team has advanced the substructure brick and blockwork. Installation of below-ground drainage systems is also underway, ensuring the development has a robust foundation for the next phases of construction.
Strategic openings have been incorporated to accommodate future steel baseplates, while crushed stone is currently being laid around the building perimeter to create a stable base for scaffold installation. Meanwhile, our engineering team is finalising steel connection designs and completing the structural calculations required for the superstructure phase.
Live site photographs demonstrate strong early momentum and reflect the care and precision being applied at each stage of the build.
Longley is proud to be delivering a facility that will not only elevate matchday experiences but also provide a versatile, high-quality venue for community use. The pavilion will offer upgraded, modern amenities designed to support the growth of local sport and increase accessibility for all.
We extend our thanks to everyone involved so far and look forward to bringing this important project to life for the benefit of the entire Sevenoaks community.
