A comprehensive window and door replacement project was successfully delivered at Seven Kings School within a live secondary school environment, requiring detailed planning, careful coordination, and strict health and safety management to ensure minimal disruption to daily school operations throughout the programme.
The scope of works comprised the supply, delivery, installation, and finishing of new windows and doors across designated areas of the school in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer guidance, and current building regulations. Prior to commencement, detailed site inspections and surveys were undertaken to verify opening dimensions, review access arrangements, and ensure all required materials, equipment, and safety provisions were fully coordinated.
The project involved the careful removal of existing windows and doors without causing damage to surrounding structures, alongside the safe disposal of waste materials in accordance with site procedures. New frames were installed and secured to ensure accurate alignment and performance, followed by the fitting of glazing units, door panels, ironmongery, insulation, and weatherproof sealing systems in line with manufacturer recommendations.
Working within an occupied school required close collaboration with the school’s management team to maintain a safe environment for students, staff, visitors, and site operatives at all times. The works were delivered in a phased and controlled manner to minimise disruption to teaching and learning while ensuring secure access and uninterrupted school operations throughout the programme.
Internal and external sealants, trims, and finishing components were applied to achieve a high-quality finish and ensure long-term weather resistance and airtightness. Comprehensive quality assurance inspections were carried out during and following installation to verify alignment, operation, functionality, and compliance with all relevant standards and specifications.
The project was successfully completed within programme, with works commencing on 14th February 2026 and reaching completion on 27th March 2026. The completed installation has significantly improved the school’s thermal efficiency, security, and overall appearance, providing durable, low-maintenance window and door systems that support a modern, safe, and comfortable learning environment for staff and students.
