Wanstead Leisure Centre

This project was to demolish a section of the leisure center that inter-linked the leisure center and the school in preparation for a brand new center to be built in 2023. The Leisure center was adjacent to the occupied school buildings, therefore health & safety were a major factor in relation to the welfare of the pupils and staff while the schools daily operations continued uninterrupted whilst the demolition works took place.

Our works included;

• Demolition of 1930’s built classrooms and sports hall
• Removal of unforeseen asbestos
• Safe isolations and relocations of live services
• Ducting and installation of service infrastructure in preparation for the new center
• Temporary steel gantry access to the adjacent side of the premises
