Traditional methods of proportionality in architecture are based on the principle of similarity of parts. It is believed that the use of a connected system of proportions ensures the unity of the composition. Depending on the idea, the architect uses relations expressed in whole numbers or irrational relations based on a system of simple graphic constructions.
