A significant project was undertaken to replace the full heating system of a secondary school and refresh the decoration of the main hall, which features an impressive 18-meter high atrium. The goal was to enhance energy efficiency and improve the learning environment for students.
Health and safety were prioritized throughout the project, particularly as the school remained operational during the works. A thorough risk assessment was conducted, and strict safety measures were enforced to ensure the well-being of students and staff at all times.
The new energy-efficient heating system was installed to reduce energy costs and create a more comfortable atmosphere in classrooms and common areas. Simultaneously, the main hall was redecorated to create a vibrant, welcoming space for school events and activities.
Despite the challenges of working in a live occupied environment, the project was delivered on time and within budget, thanks to effective planning and collaboration between contractors and school administrators.
Upon completion, our team organized a social values activity, inviting students to participate in a hands-on workshop about construction. This initiative aimed to inspire interest in the trades while fostering a sense of community and pride in their newly improved school facilities.
