Primary School Construction Assembly

Recently, we hosted an engaging educational workshop on construction at a local primary school, aiming to inspire young minds about the world of building and design while emphasising the importance of health and safety in the industry. The event brought together students, teachers, and construction professionals to explore the fundamentals of construction through interactive activities.

The workshop began with an informative presentation that introduced students to various construction materials, tools, and techniques, along with essential health and safety practices. We highlighted the importance of wearing protective gear, understanding site safety, and recognising potential hazards.

The workshop also included a Q&A session, where students could ask industry professionals about their careers and experiences in construction, as well as how they prioritize safety on the job. Feedback from teachers and students was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the workshop’s impact in fostering interest in STEM fields and instilling a strong foundation of health and safety awareness. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future, nurturing the next generation of builders and innovators.

I just wanted to express our thanks for coming in to deliver a really exciting assembly with our year 3 and 4 students – they really enjoyed it. The teachers made a point of mentioning how positively the children responded during the assembly, how they were able to use their knowledge of materials from science to answer questions and they loved the quiz at the end as well. There was definitely a buzz when they returned to the classrooms!” – Assistant Headteacher
