Student Accommodation – Games Room and Level 32 + 33 Refurbishments
Client: International Student Accommodation Provider
Sector: Student Accommodation
Value: £400,000.00

A comprehensive refurbishment project was undertaken to enhance the student bar and social area located in the basement, as well as the 32nd and 33rd floors of a bustling student accommodation block. The goal was to create inviting spaces equipped with modern amenities, including new pool tables and arcade machines, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.

Health and safety were at the forefront of the project, especially as work took place in a live occupied building. A detailed risk assessment was conducted, and strict safety protocols were enforced to protect both workers and residents throughout the refurbishment process.

Collaboration with building managers was crucial in organising logistics, ensuring that work schedules minimised disruptions to students. This involved coordinating material deliveries and managing noise levels, allowing for efficient progress across all areas.

The refurbishment included stylish furnishings, improved lighting, and upgraded facilities, transforming the bar and social areas into dynamic hubs for student interaction. Thanks to effective communication between contractors, building management, and residents, the project was delivered on time and within budget.

The successful completion of the refurbishment has significantly enhanced the student experience, providing modern, engaging spaces that encourage socialisation and community building among residents.
